As someone who recently "felt" like she broke her feet over New Years and was stubborn enough to wait three days to go too the hospital, please have it checked out.

Because prepping mentally for a surgery sucks, Beth.

Gah, I hope it isn't that bad. I took my first day off since Vegas today, and we went snowboarding. I was doing fine, and then I wiped out going about 40mph and cracked myself across the temple with my goggles. I saw the proverbial tweety birds for a moment, and got back up. I guess I wasn't quite ready, because at the bottom of the mtn I wiped again, and nailed the tip of my tailbone full force and full speed. I gagged, it hurt so much. Heh. Me stupid.

What happened on New Year's, hunny? Are you ok?

Hello. :) I friended you, hope you don't mind. :)

I once bruised my tailbone so badly I couldn't move for a week. It didn't feel that bad at first, but the day after I was in agony. I hope you can get it checked out and make sure you didn't do anything to damaging...

Of course I don't mind! You know I adore you. ;)

I totally know what you mean with the delayed response pains. That happens to me at work a lot. This one hurt pretty much instantaneously [heh!].

Give a kiss to that lovely Capricorn for me. I need to make a trip out to Denver soon...

As bad as it sounds, hopefully your tailbone is just termporarily dislocated (or bruised). I went through a painful phase of the last couple of years where mine kept going out of place ~thanks scoliosis~, and although it was some of the worst pain I have *ever* felt, when it does re-align, it's pretty much instantaneous relief.

Oh, Kambriel, I didn't know. =( My cousin has scoliosis, and I know how terrible it can be. *HUG!*

Do you know what I can do to ease a tush bruise / possible dislocation? Is it something you put cold / heat on? Sit in a tub? Hit myself in the ass with a hammer?

I hate hate hate going to the doctor, so I'm procrastinating until at least a few days have passed. If my tuchus doesn't feel better by the end of the weekend, I'll bite the bullet and go to emergency.

I think the worst pain I ever felt was having my IUD installed, but this is pretty damn close! ;)

I know this is a weird place to talk about it, but did you get the package? Email is wonky at the moment, so I'm pestering you here. ;) We got virus bombed again, so I'm avoiding sending anyone any missives til I know I'm clear beyond a doubt. The tee for your beau needed to be reordered, but it'll be out at the beginning of next week, beloved.

LOL! I was going to try and see my chiro this week because of my neck [the weight of my idiot dreads fucks me up]. I guess this is motivation to stop blowing it off. 8)

So who kicked you in the ass?

No, seriously, though. If you'd broken it, you'd not be able to walk. Or sit. Or do anything that resembles being comfortable. I prescribe a warm bath, some nifty painkillers (or herbal tea, whatever floats your boat) and an early night.

And since I've spoken, of course you must now hop to (heee) and get to it. :D

Owww! Definitely go see a doctor and get that checked out.

I hate going to the doc too, but mostly because a lot of the doctors here are idiots I hope the ones in your area are better.

I've probably got a ton of crazy whining and ranting in my LJ from my experiences with the stupid docs of Missoula, MT in the last year or so since this nerve in my neck/head decided to freak out. I've been to Dr. Just-Drink-Water-And-You'll-Be-Fine, the emergency room where I sat in an exam room for 6 hours before Dr. I-Don't-Have-A-Clue-What's-Wrong-With-You-But-I-Want-To-Poke-A-Hole-In-Your-Head decided to come see why I was there, Dr. If-I-Give-You-Enough-Drugs-You'll-Shut-Up, and finally Dr. Jello-Shot (I wish it was as amusing as it sounds).
On the plus side, I spent a LOT of time online during those months of agony and that's when I found Lush and BPAL...

I almost broke mine when I was 12 or so and fell off my 16h quarter horse. They said it would have been better if I had broken it because at least then it would have healed right. And I was in Jr. High and refused to sit on the donut, sititng on a jacket instead for a month. Get the donut, you'll feel retarded, but it'll help in the long run. I still can't sit on hard surfaces for extended periods of time.

not that this would help, but it's at least kind of funny. =D

hope it's just bruised and not anything worse. broken things suck. (i'm the most eloquent).

ummmm. taking your obsession too far?
dang, I think that was tommy lee, not nikki.... they can't do anything for tailbones but give you the doughnut and the pain medication. it will continue to hurt even if you just bruised it, though -- do you have a chiropractor? I usually go as soon as I can right after any traumatic back event and it usually keeps my shit in check. seriously, though: OWWW. sit on some pillows and relax.

and stop flying around in drum cages, dude! ;)
