I picked up food at Leonor's today when we were movin' stuff. For those outside Los Angeles, its a vegetarian Mexican joint in North Hollywood. While I was waiting, Leonor gave me a flax seed iced tea to drink while I waited, 'cuz she thought I looked run down and tired.

Its the little nice'ums that make life really good. One iced tea made me pretty happy today.

I'm glad that in the midst of all the stress and moving craziness that you can have little moments like that to make you smile.

Sometimes it's the little gestures that mean the most.

BTW...what did it taste like. I run a health food store and we sell all kinds of flax products but I have never seen flax seed tea.

AW, CUTENESS!!!! If I lived in LA I'd go there all the time just to support a kind woman. But, you know, this might say something about you, too, Beth. There was something kind and decent in your face, and leonor responded and reached out to lift you up.

Or... you looked SO exhausted that no one could POSSIBLY ignore it!!

Ha! Thank you, and right back at you! That is SUCH a good icon- and right for all sorts of occasions, too! I have to wait until something really precious happens before I can break out the little pup :)

PS - You devilish thing you...your post reminded me I hadn't looked at the lab's site in a while (being a poor college student will do that to you) and of course I had to go look again....in the process ordering far more then bank account thinks it rightful (yay! for student loans).

Now that's smart advertising. *grin*

Someone gave me chai with rosehips in it today for the same reason. They put milk in it and it was so soothing (it's only 50 degrees today and rainy here in Rhode Island.)

MWAH!!!
beth, my darling, you have done exactly that -- made us all happy by giving us little, unexpected things -- so, so, so many times.

may you be rewarded again and again, 100 times over, for paying it forward as much and as often as you do.

The owner of this great little north African place did that for me once when I mentioned that I had a migraine - he gave me an herbal infusion that really did help a bit, but I think the kindness really helped just as much.
