Why life is awesome today...

1. Will Call was fucking great last night. I had a wonderful time. (PSST! I was Yuki-Onna, not Kyoto! I was discontinued! Ha ha!)

2. In 1 hr, Blues @ Kings. Hockey + Cheese Pretzel + 3 hours with Teddy = Happy Beth.

3. I am installing Caesar IV.

4. I bought a pink Nintendo DS today because I am a dork. I bought Nintendogs to go with it, because I am an even bigger dork.

5. I bought a black sheer thermal tee from Lucky today, and it became one of my favorite shirts almost immediately. Damn good shirt. Comfy, and oddly kinda sexy.

6. Ted looks really cute right now. Kinda like if the Hanson family had a 4th kinda spooky brother.

7. Don Cherry was very obnoxious on a bit of Hockey Night in Canada that I caught earlier, and that's always good for a laugh.

8. I used Fresh dry oil after my shower, and it is nice.

9. It smells like October and feels like autumn, and tonight we're taking the motorcycle to the game. Good night to be on a bike.

10. Every time I walk past my lawn gnome, I laugh.

11. Seriously, Ted looks really cute.

12. My brother is in a good mood today, and made me laugh.

13. I talked to a bunch of good friends on the phone today, some of whom I don't get many chances to chat with outside of email / pm / sms lately, and that made me really happy.

So, why was your day awesome?

Hmm. I must say, my day got more awesome when I saw you post with a Don Cherry icon! LOL. Otherwise:

- It was a perfect, gorgeous October day here: bright, sunny, and quite chilly.

- I finally got a haircut, after weeks of not getting round to it. I'm no longer an overgrown mess!

- Battlestar Galactica starts tonight (right now, in fact) on Canadian TV. That's really more what's making my husband's day awesome, but hey, when he's happy, I'm happy. :)

Don Cherry cracks me up.

Today sucked. The new USA Hockey rules blow. The refs at the game today were calling everything. Everytime the kids bumped into each other they were being called on cross checking. They are 9 and 10 years old, they are going to run into each other: IT'S NOT CHECKING! GARGH!!! Anyway. Very annoying game. We ended up with 17 penalties. You heard right.

Sounds like you had a really awesome day!

My day was awesome becuase it was my 6th wedding anniversary. My husband, my kid and I went on an impromptu road trip to upstate NY (Ithaca) to sightsee and take in the beautiful fall day. I live in PA and it was 3 hrs there and 3 hrs back and all we did was laugh and joke and revel in nature as we encountered different things. We saw deer and wild turkey and picked pumpkins and apples and visited some beautiful gorges and waterfalls.

It was an awesome day!

Predators vs. Wild. My two favorite teams, so I can't lose tonight.

My cats are cuddly and adorable today.

I found an awesome dark red lace top to wear with my suede skirt to a wedding reception next week.

My 6 yr. old and I pruned the front yard and then put out Halloween decorations. He made chalk ghosts on the sidewalk. There was some great conversation, like contemplating what roses and chocolate would be like. =D

i wish i could say that mine was. i'm still feeling bummed out of chickening out of getting my 1st tattoo last night (mood was NOT there). and i'm having relationship issues again.

BUT! i gotta say... rock on with your pink ds. my mom actually got one (i got black). we both traded in our old ones. and i had nintendogs. it's kinda cute and stuff. i never got a whole lot accomplished on it.

i'm glad that a good day was had by people. it makes me happy. so there... this post and comments has become an awesome point of my day.

my day was awesome 'cause i got to sleep in, have a real breakfast (apple pancakes, eggs and bacon!! yum!!) and see a funny show that i *didn't* have to work. And i got free dinner, after. and i talked to my best friend on the phone for the first time in two weeks, which was the whipped cream, cherry and sprinkles on top of a lovely ice-cream sundae of a day.

I think hanson is pretty spooky already!! Maybe Ted would be the non-child-of-the-corn member of the Hanson family.

Gigantic and tiny Pumkins at the Pumpkin Patch make me happy :)

(I took my son to the patch today and got Hella pumpkins!)

I slept until noon and then I lazed around on the couch watching Project Runway. And Six Feet Under. And then Larry the Cable Guy. And now watching Notting Hill.

Miami weather's actually finally starting to cool down and it was in the middle 80's, low humidity and breezy.

I played civ4 for a couple hours until the evil Germans knocked out one of my cities. Definitely need to get the expansion pack.

iPod (new kitten) fell asleep on the living room floor, curled up with the stuffed frog he's been battling.

Absolutely nothing was done today and I enjoyed it. :D

Wow, you have a great list there.

My day was awesome because I got to sleep in, visit the farmer's market, visit the salon for a new haircut, make stir-fry, and I get to go see a movie with my guy. I also got two new items in the mail: a wool peacoat, and Kindly Moon.

My day was/is (its only 12:26pm!) awesome because :

1. I finally got some time to sit down and get creative and wake my brain up a bit.

2. Stuart (bf) and Jedd (son) are both happy and playing goodies and baddies out the back and Jedd screams like a girl and it makes me laugh :P

3. I just made some seriously hardcore triple choc muffins, two of which I have already eaten (I burnt my tongue but thats ok :P)

4. The weather here in AU is warming up and today is the perfect temperature, its sunny, breezy and I can smell the ocean waftng through my bedroom window.

5. Jedd painted me a picture and the clouds in it look like bums

6. My cat said hello to me this morning

AND

7. Youre happy :) and this post makes me happy :) and as a result, my day is a bit more awesome!!!!!!!

xoxo

Giant, $1-a-head organic lettuce at the farmers' market made me a happy ghoul today. So does the knowledge that the boy and me are going to immerse ourselves in the world of sex-starved hairy tarantulas in a couple of days. And also that it's October and my favorite time of year has begun. :]

Why my life is awesome today....
1. My husband and I took our daughter to get her passport! I think all children should travel outside the US (if possible) and do it often.

2. My beloved Ohio State Buckeyes put the whoop-ass on Bowling Green!

3. The leaves have changed here in Denver and I would never want to live anywhere else.

4. My grandma told me she was proud of me and I am a good mom. :)
