He got "Worst Person" honors on Countdown w/Keith Olbermann tonight for that bit. Keith was angrier than I'd heard him in a while... which makes me <3 him even more.

Sadly, they didn't mention it on the Daily Show tonight, but there's always tomorrow.

I love that speech, personally. I think that was the moment the Daily Show became a true success and is one of the most moving and genuine moments I've ever seen on TV.

Wouldn't Shawn just love it if he had his own pineapple scented blend?

One of the best shows out there for the fun of it - the theme music has me singing and bopping along every damn time.

Have you watched the additional Psych Outs on the website? Priceless, but damn hard to get into after each new ep on Friday nights...

Jesus Fuck that pisses me off. There is so much shit going on in the world today and some asshole wastes his energy on nitpicking someone's emotional response to a tragedy? God give me a break.

Sorry for the language. The emotions are flying high and low this week and apparently things can get under my skin, too.

RARRR!

I haven't had chocolate in 2 years and 9 months and I'm about to go have some so I can both cheer up and mellow out. XD

Jon Stewart's commentary made after 9/11 was the most heartfelt and smart message heard in the media. Figures Gibson would find that worthy of mockery--sincerity gives him a rash.

Of course,if it obscures his face, a rash isn't all bad.

I don't know if this icon adds levity or just makes it more depressing
*grinds teeth*

These days I largely prefer to pretend that the media doesn't exist. It helps me sleep and will probably add years to my life. :p

There's so much pot:kettle:black in that man's line of thinking. I could rant at length, but basically, talk about trickle down. You can't preserve a spirit of unity in a culture where many of our most influential people just want to hate and lie and cheat.

Wow. What a cock. I remember watching that ep of the Daily Show they are talking about and I was moved, as I'm sure many others were. Those tears were genuine!

I remember that episode of the Daily Show, and I still get chills thinking about it. Quite possibly one of the more beautiful moments on television.

As for the rest - I expect nothing more of my president than I do of my 7 year-old: Honesty and respect. And I get more than a teensy bit cranky when I don't get them. Nor is the fact that we've managed to kill more people in this war-of-lies than the terrorists did lost on this voter. *snarls in a vaguely eastward direction* I really need to be further from DC.

Some people are such fucking dicks. 9/11 was a time, out of all times, when left or right shouldn't have mattered to anybody.
