I really, truly loathe Huckabee.

'The candidate says he wants to unite the country. But in a 1998 book, Huckabee was a fierce culture warrior, equating environmentalism with pornography, homosexuality with necrophilia, and nonbelievers with evildoers.'

Mike Huckabee: Playing Both Sides of the Pulpit by David Corn, Mother Jones' Washington bureau chief.

Am I the only one that thinks his presidency would be the harbinger of the End of Days? Even moreso than this current bullshit administration?

You definitely are not the only one. This one, he scares me more than Bush ever did, or ever could.

He scares the crap out of me in many ways, but I can't believe that even if elected - which he very well could be - he could really institute those kinds of massive changes. I believe the American public is stupid enough to elect him because he's just an Average Joe like them (or so he likes to portray himself), but I cannot believe that they would put up with living under biblical law. I simply cannot believe that.

Now Guilianni? And Romney? And the other proto-fascists who believe in a unitary presidency? They foretell the End of Days for me.

No, I'm beginning to feel the same way. I'm pretty scared that he's the leading Republican candidate -- but then, they're all that bad, aren't they?

It's difficult to pick the worst, but man, I can't stand Huckabee. He's such a nutcase.

Huckabee terrifies me. Literally terrifies me. I never thought I could imagine a man more unfit for the presidency - no, for public office - than Bush, but... there he is, right there, running for president.

Please, please, please, let us elect a democrat...

The hick-a-bee scares me even more than the shrub.

If only Mike Gravel had more than a snowball's chance in hell of getting the Democratic nomination for the party...

*sigh*

Gahh! He didn't sound like that on TV! I actually liked him!

No matter, I would've voted Democrat anyway.

Actually, I'm pretty sure he's un-American. It's a word that only Republicans are supposed to be able to throw at people, I know, but seriously, some of his ideas are completely against everything our nation stands for.

He'd scare me a lot more if I thought he had a hope in hell of winning the general election. At my house we just kind of look at him and shake our heads. The guy is batshit.

I know what you mean. He has all of the chance Ross Perot did.

*less* chance I'd say. Funny you make that comparison, we were just talking about Perot last night.

Yes, I think he would be a more horrible, scarier president than what we have now.

Don't forget his brilliant plan to put anyone with HIV in camps. Can you say "fascist", kiddies? I knew ya could!

You are absolutely not the only one. He's more righteous than W., and he's smarter than W. as well.
It's a horrifying combination, and I really really hope his candidacy is squashed early because the idea of a Huckabee administration absolutely terrifies me.
