Definitely. I keep crying off and on. I can only imagine what I'm going to be like when he gives his speech. I think I'll go get the tissues ready... :D

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who made this day possible!

I've been crying since CNN first flashed President Elect Barack Obama!
At least its tears of joy.

I've been crying on and off too. I'm gonna be a sloppy MESS when he's speaking.

Whereas my tears kind of dried up suddenly and I started grinning. I think it's the sleep dep.

It's cry-worthy.

It's historic and amazing and ... other hyperbolic superlatives as well.

i've been wavering between cold chills and tears- i was so afraid that hate and ignorance would win again, and now i'm flooded with relief!

I almost cried while VOTING. I fucking lost it during Obama's speech. Also, the puppy bit? *so cute*

Happy beyond words. Laughing, crying, relieved. A great day for our country, for the world.

Yes, common sense prevailed!! I'd just about given up on its existence.

McCain's concession speech made me teary-eyed, too. Very gracious, and good for him for quieting the booing. He showed a lot of class, finally.
Then Obama's speech, no shutting off the waterworks at that point :D

I'm not even American and I'm just grinning ear to ear. The more LJ Flist entries I'm seeing about this, the more "OMG...*sniff*" I'm getting.

It's amazing.

There was a resounding chorus of cheering and merriment at my office today. May have even been people dancing on tables. And this is in Australia - I can imagine how it is for everyone in the USA.

It's funny, because I only know you from the internets and making beautiful scents, but I went to your LJ first last night when I wasn't sure if it was safe for the relief to set in, because I knew you would know. I was terrified of the excitement, because I was afraid it would go wrong somewhere. Thank you for letting me know it was ok.
And then I went outside to join the huge mob of happy college students banging pots and chanting and rejoicing :) Makes me realize what a baby I am, that I've never been a part of something like this before.

I'm Canadian and I still cried my head off during Obama's speech. Still feeling it (the pure joy) this morning. Yay!
