Gail Carriger's Changeless, the Parasol Protectorate Bk. 2. I'm enjoying it a great deal. Lighthearted, silly steampunk fun with werewolves and vampires and a really fun lead.

I feel like I deserve something light. I just got through reading Christopher Hibbert's The Borgias and their enemies, and holy god, it was like swallowing a brick. Utterly fascinating time and place and family. Horrifically dense writing. I learned a lot, but damn.

Stephen King's latest, about time travel and the paradox of stopping an assassination. S'good.

Ooh, seconding the Carriger recommendation for fun Victorianish fluff! Right now I'm about to start the third book in C.S. Friedman's Magister series, which I've really been enjoying; I just finished the second book in the Game of Thrones series, which I can't decide if I'm enjoying or not. :)

The second book in the Harper Hall trilogy, for approximately the billionth time. I still can't believe Anne McCaffrey is dead.

Just finished Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell and working on the second book in the Kingkiller series, The Wise Man's Fear. Also about halfway through The Years of Rice and Salt, which is amazing and also very much a book I'm nibbling away at slowly because it demands thought and care in the reading.

I'm on a YA kick these days -- just finished Liar's Moon, the sequel to Star Crossed. Before that was Circus Galacticus. All great books and easy on a tired brain.
