Can of aerosol hairspray and a lighter make an excellent (and fun! oooh, fire) wasp killer in a pinch.

A lot of other aerosol things work, too. My dad did that when we had fruit flies hanging about a leeettle too annoyingly.

Or you could get a shoe and squish it. That's always fun..

As long as it's not Blackie Lawless or Chris Holmes you should be fine...

Is it gone? (I'm allergic, so the thought is scary to me.)

We had wasps in the school I work at yesterday. Apparently, they've infested the wall of the Spanish room, where I was leading a yoga class with the 7th graders (the gym was occupied, see). Fun times!

one is better a nest of them hiding *inside* of a cars side-view mirror casing.

*nods*
Both service vans, both side view mirrors.

And the next day we found two huge nests in the bushes right next to the apt we were moving out of, AS we were moving out.

Must be waspy season. Bastards.

PS- I just noticed the icon you used for this. THAT, along with your simple, but venomous sounding statement made my broken down self laugh to no end.

You need a bug vacuum! We keep one on every floor. Suck 'em up and put them outside. :-)

Good grief. You have my sympathies; my studio got invaded by yellowjackets this year, and I still have no idea where the little bastards were coming from.

I ended up keeping a bottle of Benadryl liquid on the bench, because I'm allergic to the stings. Managed to avoid getting stung, but I had a couple of scares. (Dear One wants me to look into getting an epi-pen, but that's a whole 'nother issue.)
