... but I have always thought that the whole Omen trilogy was great. All of them, even 3.

One of my first crushes.

Explains a lot, doesn't it?

I haven't seen the remake of the first movie, though. Somehow I can't bring myself to watch it.

I'm big on Biblical terror. Rosemary's Baby, the Exorcist... even Stigmata. Love it all.

The only one I've seen out of those you listed is the Exorcist.. Whos the dude in the picture?

That is Johnathan Scott Taylor (I think that is his full name). He plays Damien Thorn in Damien: The Omen II.

**hangs head** I am such a nerd. LOL

In my mind I am linking this post with your BPAL exhortation to vote. (Damn. Forgot to tell snarky and exhausted students to vote. Damn.)

Never mind. Off to bed.

I have to agree with you on Damien in Omen 2.
I had a big crush on him too. I was like...so what if he's the antichrist...he's cute!
I totally understand you on the Biblical teror. I was raised Catholic.(I willingly went to Catholic school for 12 yrs!) I remember seeing the Exorcist on HBO when I was 12 (same age as Regan) and I was positive that I was going to be possessed too. I couldn't sleep alone the whole summer.

He's freaking me out - he is the spitting image of my cousin Mitch who's getting married next weekend!!

It's uncanny

Not directly related to Biblical terror, but close: Lost Souls and Constantine. I found both strangely fascinating despite themselves. And no, I do not have a thing for Keanu even though he's in both movies. :)

Rosemary's Baby actually scared me more than The Exorcist. Not sure why, unless it was because so much of the Bad Stuff happened off-camera or in a surreal way. It's always scarier when you don't actually see the monster / bad stuff / what-have-you. Which would explain why The Blair Witch Project gave me the wiggins, and the remake of The Haunting had me laughing.

(And one of my first crushes was Vincent Price ...but then, another one was Kermit the Frog. Which probably explains a lot about me.) ;)

I can't remember which of the Omen movies I've seen bits & pieces of... the second one? The first one? I don't remember. There was ice skating on a big pond.

I loved Stigmata.

I love the Omen Trilogy, my son's name is Damon. I very badly wanted to call him Daemon or Damien but decided based on reactions that Damon was as far as I dared to go. Rosemary's Baby was very good - not as big a fan of Stigmata. I have had my hand on the DVD for the new Omen a couple of times but I've resisted - I'm just afraid it's going to be awful.

Oooh, if you really like the original trilogy, I would NOT recommend seeing the remake! It sorta ruins it for you. :\

And if having a crush on the antichrist (or at least the actor who *plays* the antichrist) is wrong, then I don't want to be right!

I always wondered what happened to him. I love horror movies, but the scene where the guy gets cut in half in the elevator freaks me out.

My Mom told me that when she was pregnant with me, she watched the Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby. And RB takes place in my neighborhood, in a builidng very similar to mine.

And then she wonders how I got "like this".

Silly Momster.

wow, that picture makes the similarities seem quite uncanny: it could be young Frank Ferrara!! I have never seen Omen 3, but I looove the first in the trilogy. Totally unexplainable graveyard scenes! The Horse! Cutest devil-child ever!

HOLY FUCK, WOMAN! You're totally right...

Ted pointed out a while ago that Mr. Sixx, Joe Perry, Johnny Thunders... all the men I have a boner for... all could be cousins. And now this...

Dood, you're right! /Lil' Damien totally has the same look/.

all those movies are my favorites, the scariest! i liked lil damien too!

Yes! I even loved the Exorcist sequel - the one with Brad Dourif. I felt let down at the end with Stigmata, but you're absolutely right about the Biblical terror. There's something so fundamental about it. I know a few people who are so freaked out by 'devil movies' that they can't watch 'em at all... But they have no problem watching Texas Chain Saw Massacre or Wolf Creek. And don't bother with the remake of the first Omen. If it ain't broke, why fix it?

Due to my Catholic upbringing Biblical horror is the only kind of horror movie that really scares me. That's probably why I like it so much. :) I love the Omen movies, although I did have to talk one of my friends out of naming her baby Damien. Why risk it? ;)

Hmmm. I had the same crush.

*high fives!*

Oooo Excelent!
I've always loved such movies as well. Something about the suspense in the story. =)

Very nice. My mom had hissyfits when I'd watch stuff like The Omen and Rosemary's Baby. She found me with the book Rosemary's Baby and lectured me. (granted maybe 13 was young in her eyes...) Ah well. Good times!

You get major points, Beth!

Omifreakingawdess, talk about yer serendipity.... My sister and I were channel surfing last weekend when we stumbled across 'Omen II' on some Starz channel (I think). Curious as to whatever happened to damned-good-lookin' Jonathan Scott-Taylor, I did a bit of Googling and found a page full of yummy pics of an older him. Please note the scrumptious one of he and 'Omen III's Sam Neill posing together about halfway down (double-woof!): http://omenchronicles.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=118&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Hi, my name is Michelle and I am an Omen addict. :) I always thought my first born would look like Harvey Stevens, even if she was a girl! He is the cutest little kid. The Omen: The Final Conflict gave us that hottie Sam Neil. Mmm, I think he so dreamy. :) Considering Satan is in the white house now maybe these movies were to far off from the truth. **wink**

Totally off topic, The Denver post office can be a bit wonky so I wanted to make sure you got the thank you package I sent. :)
