I hope you've had your tetanus booster!

All those gears and wheels make me want to go steampunk.

Are we talking about 1980's Whitney or er... post-Bobby Whitney?

well, sort of closer...
In all of your copious free time, you should come up to the Dickens Fair (http://www.dickensfair.com) in San Francisco. There's going to be a steampunk group this year - granted, they're not really calling it that. They're trying to pass it off as a group of literary characters, but honestly, it's going to be steampunk, from what I've heard so far.

It's lots of fun, and I'll be there as Miss Jessie Bond of the Adventurer's Club and hopefully singing in the abridged version of "Pirates of Penzance", too.

Oh, and there's a French Postcards show - various tableaux of topless, mostly naked women and mostly-clad men. I'm still trying to decide whether I'm going to do that this year or not...

If you want to come, let me know - I might be able to provide comp tickets, and I can certainly provide hotel recommendations.

Is that Whitby in England? Man, I always used to get the most kickass rock candy there. LOL

See, I always thought the bride and groom should plan their honeymoon FIRST, because that's what the wedding's all about anyway, right?

Make him take you on a clipper ship to England to go there! Then you can have several MONTHS of vacation (or several honeymoons since they were supposed to be one month/moon anyway)
decide to go a pirating on the way there.

See? Perfect!

Random English BPAL fan, found your journal...

YES. Whitby is the Goth capital of the UK. It's absolutely fantastic. The market must be seen to be believed.
