I voted for Al in 2000, even though that would've given the VP slot to Lieberman (that double-dealing, milquetoast turncoat!), and I would vote for him again in a skinny minute. But, as the article points out, why should he run again? Well, maybe because his country needs him!

And actually, the title should be: "Why Isn't Al Gore President?" The mind boggles at what our world might look like... *sigh*

As much as I'd love to see him run again, I understand completely why he wouldn't. I read an article recently... I think it was in Vanity Fair?... that basically spelled out what he and his family were put through by the media. It was horrible.

That's the sad thing about our political system ~ there are a lot of really brilliant people out there, with their hearts in good places, who have been frightened off by it and feel they'd rather just try and make changes from where they are outside of the system instead.

I do remember at some point not too long ago hearing that Gore wouldn't want to be in politics as anything other than President. My ears perked up at the open-ended possibility of that one.

I sleep with a picture of Al Gore under my pillow!

(totally kidding)

He's been one heck of an ex-vice president, that's for sure.

Ah, reading political articles in the wee hours of the morning. I'm only creative enough to think of getting up to pee five times. XD

Good article! I <3 Al Gore.

I have loved Al Gore since his speech during the Democratic National Convention in '04. He actually moved me to tears. I've been his #1 fuckin' fan ever since!
