Quasi-keffiyeh = terrorist? Good lord.

This is the stupidest fucking thing I've heard in months.

Now, I, personally, cannot stand Rachel Ray. I think she's a hoser, and there's something about seeing her face on everygoddamnthing at the supermarket that gives me a tic...

Not like Martha, man... Martha is soothing.

Anyway, all my feelings of animosity aside, I have to express my disgust (and laughter) that this fucking kerfuffle is going down, much less that its considered something newsworthy. ABSURD. If Martha publishes a sfiha recipe in the next issue of Living, will she be branded a friggin' terrorist, too?

Ted and I ate hummus last week... >.> AND I ate a falafel...

OH MY GOD, MY BABY IS GOING TO BE A TERRORIST.

I didn't think it was possible, but Michelle Malkin is an even bigger idiot than I took her to be. Pathetic. She's an idiot, and quite possibly insane.

i can't believe they pulled the ad over the keffiyeh kerfuffle, possibly in fear of a boycott -- i don't think i've been to a dunkin donuts in 15 years but it would be amusing if the rest of us boycotted DD for caving to this kind of hysteria! not to mention the racism inherent in thinking that anything remotely middle-eastern looking is 'terrorist'. ugh.

i love martha's halloween decorations! ^_^ rachael ray, however...i'm not a fan either. i've known a couple of people who have met her or even worked for her and it seems my distaste for her is not uncommon!

I'm a Krispy Kreme girl... but I can pretend the preference is due to a boycott...

Rachael Ray drives me around the frakin bend, but come on - cultural jihad? Is there not more important, and accurate, news floating around?

"This is part of the cultural jihad."

You have no time make your food. Resistance is futile. Etcetera.

Mmm, hummus.

Wow. That is just absurd.
I still can't stand her and even thought I don't condone book burning, every time I see one of her books come into the shop I work at, I want to take it out back and set it on fire.

I heard that last night, and thought it was positively absurd... Better watch out for those *evil* woven fabric designs!!! As long as we keep wearing solid clothing in "approved" colours, we'll all be stay from the evils of the world!!! Here, have some nice red shorts with that white tank top. Oh wait ~ that must mean you're a Communist sympathist ~ reel them in! :P

On a totally different note, can you drop me an email sometime? I have an idea I wanted to run by you and wasn't sure which address is still the best one to use :)

I still have a collection of those headscarves from back in my Durannie period (DON'T ask!). I have been using them in the winter to keep my head warm...however, after we went to war with Iraq, I'm a bit afraid to wear them at all for fear of repercussions.

So they sit in this trunk upstairs, awaiting the day when I can again wear a tablecloth on my head. Or neck. Or wherever. *laughs*

Nechtan :)

Oh, c'mon. You know Nick Rhodes is a jihadist sympathizer. ;) Its all in the scarfs!

I was a total Durannie, m'self. The first Neil book I ever read was his D2 biography. Lolz! XD

Your baby is definitely a terrorist. I mean, between the falafel and the olives, it's obvious!

I suppose now that we are only expected to wear proper "freedom colours" in our neckwear. *eyeroll*

I can't stand Rachel Ray, but c'mon, this is ridiculous. It's a freakin' scarf!

I sprained my eyes from the rolling when I read that last night. I mean, it's a paisley print scarf and that eedjit columnist loses her damn mind because it happens to be a black pattern on a white scarf. OMFG! The terrorists have recruited Rachel Ray! Look out! As well as Kanye West and a couple of other celebrities if I remember the article correctly. Yeesh.

Good grief. Soon they will be restricting us to red or blue, like The Handmaid's Tale.

I guess they had better tie me up and water-board me, because I eat hummus pretty much every day when I get home from work (with a side of pecan Nut Things) *yum*

Oh man see I HATE Martha. She's so... false. Rachel Ray is just a minor irritant.

Also, thanks to you I had chicken falafe WITH hummus on it. Seriously, I had no idea what I wanted for lunch until I read this. :D
