Oh, sweet Goddess. How much more can they possibly do to screw the Katrina victims over than they've already done? And here I'd naively thought that they'd actually get something right once in a while. I am appalled and furious, for all the good it will do.

This is ... there are no words.

What?! How can the officials in LA really think that people didn't need the stuff anymore?? This just seems so surreal.

Maybe they thought it was all gone once Fox News lost interest in doing reports on it.

Jesus...I...just have no words...

That is fucked up beyond comprehension.

That's it. It's official, your country is stuffed, I'm sending Kevin Rudd over, you need him more than we do...but we do need & love him, but we can loan him out where needed.

My wish is that your next President be like our Kev & his Kevolution & he gets shit DONE.

Seeing that just makes me want to cry.

McIntyre said that most of the items given away were not "standard-issue type supplies" that FEMA would have distributed after other disasters.

Because, yeah, Hurricane Katrina was a perfectly standard disaster, wasn't it?

I'm just so angry and... disheartened. So many people donated amd wanted to do something good, too, to, you know, help people who'd had their lives ruined by it, and here they are sending it off to people like it isn't needed?

The cynic in me is wondering who actually got it and what their affiliations are. :/
