Out of their fucking mind, or a Dominionist (okay, that also falls under the 'out of their fucking mind' category), or a vulture looking to profit off the colossal clusterfuck the Dominionists want to create.

McCain himself scared me, but I am terrified with the addition of Palin. I've never been so nervous about an election outcome, nor have I ever been so dumbfounded at how people can think that ticket is a good choice. =/

Ditto.

The only thing I think we're different on in this is that I truly can't believe that the majority of US citizens are that crazy. I mean, Bush was bad enough, but McCain is a royal arsehole, and Palin wears her crazy quite openly.

"...out of their fucking mind."

That's putting it mildly. It leaves me speechless to know there are people out there actually supporting him & Hitlerette.

"What's the difference between Palin and Muslim fundamentalists? Lipstick"

I've been telling people more or less the same since McCain picked her as his running mate, "Know who else thinks like she does? Bin Laden." That more than anything seems to drive the point home.

Dubya, ugh.

Not that any more proof of Palin's scariness is needed, but here's more anyway (courtesy of another LJ friend of mine):

As mayor of Wasilla, she required rape victims to pay for forensic tests

She scares me more than Bush ever has or possibly could. What I don't understand is how so many WOMEN are now voting McCain/Palin simply based on Palin's gender - nevermind what she thinks or believes. I have otherwise very intelligent family members who are gung-ho about Palin. I try hard to understand other perspectives, but that is one I just can't comprehend in any way, shape, or form. She is terrifying and I fear for our nation -- and the world -- if she ends up as V.P., or God forbid, President. It scares me shitless. I've never been so tied up in knots about an election and the future of our country.
