Lots of computer crashing, but otherwise good. You?

Funny, I'm having crazy stalling issues with my comp tonight. Something in the air?

As far as I can tell, all electronics for the last week or so have been subject to intense issues.

Damn Mercury Rx! Even your shadow period is heinous!

It's insane! It killed both my family fridge and my grandma's. And my laptop. (Not this one, this one is brand new)

Sadly, craptastic. Dealing with too many asshole customers on eBay in a 48 hour period including someone who bid up a number of items and won two of them, then decided not to pay me because she "found them elsewhere for less" and has been harrassing me with demands to cancel the sales. (No, they're going in as unpaid items) Followed by someone whose package got lost who I immediately dealt with and has now opened a eBay complaint against me claiming she received no response. I was going to replace her item as soon as the USPS claim came through (assuming the package isn't sitting in her local Post Office -- the CnS says both "notice left" and "no such address" and "returned to sender" which it wasn't) but now as soon as I get my $ back, I'm giving her a refund.

I hope yours is better!

There's an annual solstice parade and festival that a local arts group organizes in my city, and I was going to go to that with my 4-year-old son and my coven. It's usually a fabulous time, with giant puppets, stilt-walkers, street theatre, fire-spinning, etc.

But sadly, my son was rather out of sorts (mainly due to having sprained his wrist the other day) and steadfastly refused to go. So as I wrote in the entry I just posted a few minutes ago, "we celebrated Yule at home in the traditional manner - with pakoras, biriyani and robots!"

Which is to say, Indian takeout and a couple of Yule gifts for him, including a build-your-own-solar-powered-robot kit. The whole solar power thing seemed kind of appropriate for the solstice, and the Lynxcub has a huge fascination with robots...

Meh - having a hard time because of memories (or lack there of) of getting so sick last year. Add in a bitchy MIL and a whiny husband and I want to quit.

But I do want to make it a good one for Emily.

Exhausting, but the kids managed to stop bickering long enough to actually help me, so I'm calling that a MIRACLE, omg.

Less than stellar, but I'm hoping for better things in the next cycle.

Ours was quiet, mostly because the kiddo was sick (oh, who am I kidding? All of our celebrations are quiet, as I am a hermit recluse). We exchanged Yule gifts, though (pajamas FTW! ;) and did a little hocus pocus of our own.

I did some hocus pocus which involved spilling a bottle of TAL Sol in my kitchen. Good times. It was lovely and quiet, for the most part.
