Today I…
… played Rapunzel with my daughter. She calls me Mother Goblin, and makes me climb stretched out t-shirts in order to get onto the couch.
… did a shitload in the garden, including transplanting the tulsi and fertilizing pretty much everything.
… put a crapload of brahmi amla oil in my hair to try to repair eleven years of dreadlock damage.
… wrote two whopping sentences of my short story.
… still didn’t finish answering emails.
… got nowhere cleaning the still room.
… attempted to archive more Lilith Stories onto my blog.

The demoness is in bed, and Teddy is home from work, taking a Dad Nap on the couch. I’m heading up to the bath while the house is quiet.

Let’s see what I can get done tonight. Idle hands, and all that.

It took Andrew 36 hours over three days to pick it all out. It was hellish for everyone involved.

I completely and utterly regret it, but I didn't have much choice. When I finally started dismantling them, they weighed 17lbs dry, and that was after cutting off almost 2’ of hair. The postnatal injuries to my core made the weight agony for my back and neck. I figure… when I heal properly, I can always re-dread.

*weeps quietly*

How have you been, beautiful?

I'm so sorry! 2011 truly was brutal. I don't know many people that came out of it unscathed.

2012 is a little brighter, but I think I've still got a little bit of psychological whiplash.

I wrote two whopping sentences of a short story yesterday, too. :)

Straight up coconut oil or jojoba oil might be a better fit for hair repair...

I feel a bit weird making an oil recommendation to you unless you actually mixed it for yourself and if so, then ignore me!

I'm sorry you had to dedread (undread?) but happy hair growing! :)

Oh! And biotin supplements will help with new growth as well! longhair.livejournal.com is a good resource for hair repair tips.
